Primary RT is overall not first choice but may be relevant for: • Early stage disease to avoid functional/cosmetic defects (soft palate) • Unresectable disease • High risk pts. due to comorbidity or poor PS • Recurrent disease where previous multiple surgeries have been undertaken and further surgery would be irrelevant • Patient’s preference
