Benefits of CBCT compared to 2D x-Ray imaging • Match in 3D • See anatomical changes • Visual verification of target coverage Drawbacks • Not as easy to include the imaging dose in the treatment plan – Could be more than 1 Gy for a 30 fraction treatment • Time – Both acquisition and reconstruction takes time

But MRI has potential to provide better soft tissue contrast, real time imaging without any dose, so why not go for that?
