Incidence and risk factors
• Rare disease • Annual incidence: 1-2/100 000 (USA) • Incidence is increasing over the last 25 years
• 5 year survival: +/- 60%
• Risk factors: • HPV (in 90% of the patients), HIV, (HSV) • Immune suppression (transplant recipients) • Cigarette smoking • Previous malignancies (gynaecological, lymphoma, leukemia)
