• There are always occasions when the PTV and OARs/PRVs overlap • What is the best strategy?

• The planning concept has changed between ICRU 62 and 83 • In fact it changed completely in ICRU 83

• ICRU 62 – edit PTV (even CTV)

– fine for CRT

• ICRU 83 – do not edit

– better for IMRT
