Summary  Frequent soft-tissue imaging provides feedback & and opportunity to adapt to changing conditions.

 On-line correction combined with off-line adaptation is desirable, but may not be sufficient.

 Adaptive schemes may permit PTV margin reduction, and other opportunities to improve treatment:  Assure minimum target dose.  Spare more normal tissue volume.
