Machine Model: Adjustable Parameters  What does the modulating:  Pencil beams ( “ beamlets ” )  Aperture shape & MU ’ s ( “ Segments ” )  More general  e.g, gantry angles, dose rate, motion control etc.  Certain parameters are assigned manually:  Number of beams, orientation  Gantry, collimator, table angles  Certain parameters are machine specific:  Mode of delivery (dynamic, step-shoot, tomotherapy)  Collimation limits (leaf width and speed, etc)
