• Radiation enteritis: oedema, hyperemia, stiffness

Late radiation proctitis

• Due to damage to blood vessels • Rectal wall deprived from oxygen and nutrients • Several months to years after the end of RT • Symptoms: diarrhea, rectal bleeding, painful defecation, intestinal blockage, fistulae
