Reoxygenation Van Putten and Kallman (1968) studied hypoxic fraction in mouse sarcomas at various times during fractionated radiotherapy. They expected that it should increase sharply as all well-oxygenated cells were killed by the 1st few fractions. But they found that hypoxic fraction remained constant . They interpreted this as reoxygenation between radiation doses.
