• In most cases is unknown • Previous radiation treatment • Genetic disease - Neurofibromatosis type I: mutation in the NF-1 - Li-Fraumeni Syndrome: defect in TP53 - Turcot syndrome: defect in the APC gene and/or a mutation in DNA mismatch repair (MMR) genes - Mismatch repair deficiency of the MSH6 mismatch repair
