• Short duration of symptoms (median 1-3 month) • Hydrocephalus is not common • Common triad

– Cranial nerve palsies – Pyramidal tract signs – Cerebellar signs

Eye movement disturbances, diplopia, facial weakness, dysphagia, dysarthria Weakness of one or more limbs
