LDR brachy in floor of mouth

• 116 patients, with exclusive brachytherapy 65 Gy Ir-192 • Local Control T1N0.- 94% T2N0.- 74% ➢ T2 between 2-3 cm LC was 58 %. ➢ With involvement of the gingiva, LC was 50 % • Nodal status, tumor size T2b (>3 cm), and gingival extension were the only independant prognostic factors.

T1-2 N0 SCC: 192-Ir 65-70 Gy , Paris System, is recommended for lesions ≤3 cm or less and without gingival extension .
