Postoperative LDR BT in mobile tongue
• The 5-year survival rates after hemiglossectomy and neck dissection do not attain 50%, mainly because of local and regional failure • SCC of the tongue (T1 or T2): partial glossectomy with homolateral or bilateral neck dissection • Postop BT was indicated: 2015

Age<50 years,
➢
tumor size>T2,
➢
recurrent tumor,
➢
R1 or R0 <5 mm margins,
➢
high-grade dysplasic margins,
➢
lymphatic vessel invasion,
➢
perineural spread. • Dose: 50-55Gy at 85% (Paris System)
