Conclusion We report on the radiation dose to the heart and IMN for 1518 patients over a nine-year period from a single institution. We see the effect of the three investigated events on the volume and dose parameters on a population basis and conclude that there is a clear effect of the national guidelines on the clinical RT planning practice.
