Conclusion According to the main principles of radiation protection and national regulations, the justification and optimization of doses are required in medical imaging. The additional dose reseutling from setup images is justified for the reduction of uncertainty in the treatment delivery procedure increasing the tumor control rate. Particular consideration is required in case of repeated or serial use of images for those sites including organs with higher risk of secondary cancer (breast or lung), or serial organs like the spinal cord for which it is essential to respect the threshold dose. This study confirmed the correctness of the dose indicators provided by the manufacturer and made it possible to evaluate organ doses. The results will be used in the protocol optimization process.
