Results Results: Median follow up was 12.2 months (range, 2.5 – 36.3). Majority of patients had advanced T stage; 1 patient had positive node at surgery. ACC was most common histology followed by mucoepidermoid carcinoma, and pleomorphic adenoma. PNI were evident in 13 patients at baseline and 1 patient developed postop facial paralysis. Two (2/23) patients had local progression, none had nodal or distant failure. 1- and 2-year loco-regional control rate is 95.7%, 81.3% respectively. Two (2/23) patient developed acute grade 3 mucositis and 1 developed grade 3 dermatitis; none developed grade >/= 3 late toxicity. Conclusion Conclusion: Isolated nodal failure in cN0, SGCs are very rare. This work can be considered a first step toward creating a consensus on ENI and PNI volumes in this population. 1 Gujarat cancer and Research Institute, B J Medical college , Radiation Oncology , Ahmedabad , India; 2 Gujarat Cancer and Research Institute, Radiation Oncology , Ahmedabad , India; 3 Gujarat cancer and Research Institute , Radiation Oncology , Ahmedabad , India Purpose or Objective Medullary thyroid carcinoma (MTC) accounts for only about 5% of total thyroid cancers. It usually presents as an advanced disease carrying a poor prognosis than well differentiated thyroid cancers. While the treatment of choice is surgery, role of adjuvant radiotherapy is still unclear. This retrospective study aims to understand the role of adjuvant radiotherapy in MTC and its effect on survival. Materials and Methods We did a retrospective two arm study to estimate the impact of adjuvant external beam radiotherapy (EBRT) on survival outcomes in MTC. A total of 30 patients who were diagnosed with non metastatic MTC during the period 2015 to 2020 were included in the study. 15 patients underwent only total thyroidectomy with cervical lymph node dissection (arm A) . Rest 15 patients received adjuvant EBRT following surgery (arm B). A total dose of 60 Gy in 30 fractions, 2Gy per fraction, 5days per week were given by conventional radiotherapy technique. Survival outcomes were estimated using Kaplan Meier method. A univariate analysis using log rank test was done to estimate the association of various prognostic factors including age, sex, tumor size, nodal involvement and surgical resection status on survival outcomes.
