Out of all patients (n=255) included in the Uterus-11 trial, 83 patients were eligible for analysis. After a median follow-up time of 90 months (range 1–123) the median overall survival (OS) was not reached, and the mean OS was 86 (STD=5,75) months. Patients with a smaller waist, less fat mass, and higher muscle mass lived significantly longer according to Kaplan-Meier analyses (WHR low 94 vs. high 62 months OS, p=0.021; RFM low 94 vs. high 57 months, p=0.040; PMI low 57 vs. high 97 months, p=0.001). OS differences regarding PMI are demonstrated in Figure 2 . A non-inflammatory condition was significantly associated with longer OS: patients with mGPS score 0 lived 98, with score 1 lived 70, with score 2 lived 67 months, p=0.025; patients with a low leucocyte count lived 95 vs. high 55 months, p=0.003. Based on the multivariate Cox proportional hazard regression analysis, the following remained as independent prognostic factors for OS: FIGO stage (HR 8.92, 95%CI 1.69-46.89, p=0.010), PMI (HR 0.36, 95%CI 0.17-0.79, p=0.011), and leucocyte count (HR 1.16, 95%CI 1.02-1.33, p=0.018).

Conclusion:

The conducted analyses indicate an improved OS in patients with LACC who present with a non-inflammatory condition, lower fat and increased muscle mass before primary radio-chemotherapy. Our results identify body composition and inflammation status as relevant prognostic parameters and add value for better risk stratification and suggest pre-habilitation interventions for LACC patients eligible for primary radio chemotherapy.
