Purpose/Objective:

To assess the utility of Pap smear in identifying local recurrences in patients with cervical cancer who had initially undergone radiotherapy as part of their primary treatment approach.

Material/Methods:

This is a retrospective study including all cervical patients who underwent definitive dose of radiotherapy (45Gy or more) as part of their definitive treatment at KHCC and subsequently had Pap smear follow-ups (data collection is ongoing, we are presenting the data collected thus far). Patients who received radiotherapy at facilities outside of KHCC have been excluded from the study. Patient information, disease details, treatment records, and histopathological data from Pap smear results were retrospectively retrieved from the KHCC medical records system.
