Conclusion:

Orbital RT stands as an established treatment for GO patients. However, challenges persist in identifying its efficacy, appropriate evaluation timeframe, and optimal timing. At least four months after RT might be the optimal time for evaluation for patients without prior surgical interventions. Diplopia exhibits a protracted improvement timeline compared to other inflammatory symptoms indicated by CAS. A longer duration of symptoms and a higher initial CAS score might predict a favorable treatment response. Given that most patients started RT within 12 months of symptoms is associated with shortened steroid tapering, our study suggests initiating RT within 12 months.
