However, both results highlight that there is variation across England in the use of IMRT/rotational IMRT for curative lung RT.

The average interval to treatment was just over three weeks throughout the period, which is within the RCR recommended 6-week interval [1].

Overall, these benchmarking metrics demonstrate the value of routinely collected data for monitoring the quality and consistency of RT across England. Future work can investigate more complex treatment paths by linking multiple datasets including chemotherapy and surgery.

Purpose/Objective:

Our previous studies showed that the use of CPAP-assisted RT/SBRT for respiratory motion management decreases intrathoracic organ and chest wall motion, reducing normal tissue irradiation. This study evaluates the safety and tolerability of CPAP-assisted-RT/SBRT in patients receiving thorax or breast cancer treatment.
