Initial findings of PREHABS indicate that it is feasible to embed routine dietetic review into the radical RT lung pathway and that patients are accepting of dietetic intervention. Preliminary findings support the recommendation for a specialist thoracic dietitian to reduce inequalities in nutritional care for patients with lung cancer by mirroring the well-established dietetic services in place for the H&N and Upper GI patient populations.

Purpose/Objective:

Use of Stereotactic Body Radiation Therapy (SBRT) for ultra-central lung tumours remains controversial given the proximity of lesions to critical organs at risk (OAR), raising concerns for potential severe toxicity. Outcomes of ultra central lung SBRT have been reported mainly in Western populations with heterogeneity in dose prescriptions and OAR constraints and prospective studies are still ongoing. In this study, we report real-world outcomes of ultra central lung tumours treated with SBRT at a major cancer center in Hong Kong.

Material/Methods:

A retrospective analysis of patients with primary or oligometastatic ultra-central lung tumours treated with SBRT from 2009 to 2022 was conducted
