In 14 (42%) patients a follow-up scan after salvage SRS was not performed. For this subgroup of patients, the median overall survival was 1.0 month (95% CI 0.2-1.8).

Conclusion:

Results from this retrospective analysis based on a real-world cohort indicate that salvage SRS can result in meaningful local control rates although the prognosis remains poor for this patient group. We recommend considering salvage SRS after WBRT as a treatment option on an individualized basis.
