Conclusion:

Our analyses indicate that whilst there is a higher 90-day mortality in patients who had surgery, there is no significant difference in PFS between the two treatment modalities, which is in line with previous studies. Patients receiving radiotherapy were more frail, had lower performance status and had a higher median age than surgical patients. The majority of patients who had radiotherapy received radical doses with over 50% having SABR; less than 2% of patients received palliative doses. Our data is limited by short term follow up and the overall low number of events of recurrence or death.
