Conclusion:
Ideally, palliative RT should be employed to prevent pain from escalating to levels that degrade quality of life and necessitate opioid medications, given their associated side effects. However, this analysis has revealed a notably high proportion of patients eligible for palliative RT who are provided with inadequate or ineffective pain management. This implies that patients are often referred to RT at a stage when pain is already advanced. Consequently, we advocate not only for the concept of "early palliative care" but also for the promotion of "early" or, at the very least, "timely palliative radiotherapy."
