Conclusion:

Radiation-induced severe lymphopenia is associated with inferior OS for HCC patients treated by SBRT. Larger liver V5Gy and V10Gy were associated with higher incidence of radiation-induced severe lymphopenia. During radiotherapy planning, methods should be used to minimize the low dose scatter to the liver to minimize damage to the circulating lymphocytes.
