Conclusion:

This pilot study using Hydrogel Vue spacer devices in patients receiving prostate SABR with a hypofractionated schedule of 3625cGy in 5 fractions has been encouraging and is consistent with the published data.[4] Long term follow up is required to investigate if the demonstrated dosimetric improvement will correlate with lower rates of late rectal toxicity.
