Conclusion:
The radar plot provides a visual assessment of the brachytherapy dose and could help in the choice of the best plan to achieve the target dose whilst approximating the OARs constraints. The 6P-ratio could also help to categorise plans based on the clinical outcomes but will need to be assessed in a larger prospective cohort to see if it offers a clinically meaningful quality measure for brachytherapy planning.

Retrospective review of rectovaginal reference point dose in cervical brachytherapy

Purpose/Objective:
The rectovaginal reference point (RV-RP) has been proposed as one of the vaginal point doses that in cervical brachytherapy correlate with vaginal stenosis, and guidelines based on the multicentre EMBRACE data suggest keeping the overall dose at the RVRP ≤ 65Gy. The RV-RP depends not only on the tumour volume and symmetry but also on implant technique such as the applicator type and loading pattern used by different centres. We retrospectively audited the RV-RP doses and reviewed the associated vaginal toxicities for patients treated at our institution.
