Conclusion:

This prospective study indicates that RT of the prostatic fossa is generally well-tolerated. Usually, symptoms occur acutely and are reversible, with persistent late toxicity being infrequent and mild in severity.

Purpose/Objective:

Level I evidence shows that Stereotactic Body Radiotherapy (SBRT) is a promising treatment for men with prostate cancer 1-4 . With excellent response rates now being achieved we should also focus on reducing the toxicity profile of SBRT with the hope of improving the socio-economic burden of treatment.
