Purpose/Objective:

Although radical prostatectomy (RP) is a curative treatment, 44% of patients experience biochemical recurrence (BCR) at least 6 months after surgery. While the interval between surgery and BCR does not influence mortality in low-risk patients, those with unfavorable disease characteristics face an increased mortality risk with early disease recurrence. The aim of this study is to analyze a large retrospective multicenter cohort of patients who underwent salvage radiotherapy following BCR, to assess clinical outcomes and toxicities.
