Conclusion:
The study highlights the significant disparities in the availability and accessibility of radiation therapy services in the Philippines, with a concentration of facilities in the National Capital Region and a substantial portion of the population needing to travel long distances, often by sea or air, to reach the nearest radiation therapy facility. These findings underscore the pressing need for strategic efforts to expand and equalize the distribution of radiation therapy resources across the country. Addressing these disparities is crucial not only for ensuring health equity but also for providing comprehensive cancer care, both in definitive and palliative settings. It is imperative that steps are taken to improve the accessibility of radiation therapy services, making them more widely available to all Filipinos, and thus enhancing the overall quality of cancer care in the country.
