Purpose/Objective:

Embracing the forefront of healthcare innovation, our radiotherapy institute ardently champions the strategic implementation of the six pillars of value-based healthcare (VBHC) as defined by Porter. 1 The focus on patient value stands paramount in a realm as dynamic as radiotherapy due to relentless innovations. This is evident by the launch of the ESTRO-HERO project, which aims to define a VBHC framework considering the specificity of radiation oncology in terms of types of interventions, treatment intent, outcomes generated and evidence required. 2 Our commitment to this principle drives us to methodically evaluate and implement cutting-edge interventions, ensuring that every patient is not just treated, but profoundly cared for. This abstract illuminates our relentless pursuit of continuous quality of care improvements to showcase our dedication to ensure patients are in the best of hands.
