Results:

The manual delineation uncertainty varied across structures, cases, observers, and directions. Similarly, the auto contouring delineation uncertainties varied across structures, cases, and directions. Of 8892 measurement points, only 302 (3.4%) were excluded due to protocol non-compliance, suggesting there is acceptable natural variation between manual contours. The pooled range of delineation uncertainties for each structure and method are set out in the table below, alongside the minimum and maximum margin required, assuming other systematic errors to be 1 mm and random errors to be 1 mm.
