Conclusion:
Cardiac Avoidance Area autocontour quality was assessed in the clinical setting by comparing original autocontours to final, clinician-edited contours. Acceptable performance was found, which was similar to, or exceeded, the metrics from (pre-clinical) commissioning of the autocontouring software. No time trends were seen in contour quality metrics since clinical implementation. Variation in the amount of contour editing was seen between different clinicians, which indicates a need for more guidance on how and when to edit the autocontours.
