Purpose/Objective:

To evaluate the performance of the SRS MapCheck (Sun Nuclear, USA) diode array in Patient Specific QA (PSQA) of Cyberknife trigeminal neuralgia treatments compared to that with radiochromic films.

Material/Methods:

PSQA of eleven trigeminal neuralgia treatments with both SRS MapCheck and film were included in this study. From both methods, γ2%/1mm and displacement between measured and planned dose distributions were obtained.

Film based PSQA was performed with Ball Cube films into the E2E Head phantom provided with the Cyberknife system. To allow for registration between films and planned distributions, dose matrices were modified to allow identification of film corners. RIT113 software (Radiological Imaging Technology, USA) was used for registration and Gamma index analysis. Geometrical errors measured with film were obtained with an in-house software developed to calculate these errors based on horizontal and vertical profiles of the dose distribution of each plane obtained
