Conclusion:
Overall, CR with the incorporation of processing and filtering proves to be suitable for imaging for shielding block creation and position verification. When compared to radiographic film, CR offers several advantages, including a reduction in simulation time and dose delivery, a reusable image plate and integration of a digital workflow. The application of a front filter, preferably a high Z material, contributes to enhanced SNR and a reduction in scatter signal. Moreover, the use of internal filters demonstrates an improved ability to resolve contrast in smaller details and achieve sharper edges.
