Physics - Detectors, dose measurement and phantoms
ESTRO 2024
Conclusion:
A phantom, analysis platform and workflow have been developed to allow for a high precision, practical and economical measurement of the geometric accuracy of SIMT SRS dose delivery. Current (for completion by early 2024) developments include deduction of the measurement system precision and application of the measurement to establish the correlation between delivery accuracy and target distance from isocentre for local treatment equipment. Other analyses including absolute dose and comparison of measured and predicted dose distributions via a suitable index will be incorporated. A UK national audit to include a variety of different treatment platforms is planned for 2024.
