Conclusion:

Optimal DLG highly depends on the method of measurement used and Varian method seems to underestimate the value, not achieving the optimal dose calculations. A very wide range of optimal DLG are observed, changing a lot between methods and even between plans.

Our hospital took a weighted average value from the five results for each energy. Other conclusion is that IMRT plans are more DLG-dependent than VMATs.
