Conclusion:

We introduced an innovative TBI autoplanning technique using in-house developed software integrated in a commercial TPS, adding marginal time to the planning workflow. Dose distribution was shown to be significantly more homogeneous than LRRL dose distributions, and comparably homogeneous to APPA dose distributions, while offering superior patient comfort, with the patient in supine position. Furthermore, the autoplanning dose distribution was shown to be robust to clinically relevant setup errors.
