Purpose/Objective:
A dosimetric study of a new rectal applicator specifically for the Axxent system (Elekta Ltd.) has been carried out.
The aim is to measure all dosimetric passages for each treatment window. Absorbed dose in the centre of the window, absorbed dose profiles and PDDs. In addition, different plans have been designed and measured for the different treatment window diameters with stainless steel sleeves. (Fig 1).
