Conclusion:
For STS with subcutaneous involvement, MBRT offers significant sparing of organs-at-risk without sacrificing target coverage when compared to VMAT. Leveraging the higher electron surface dose, MBRT can adequately cover superficial targets without the use of bolus. As MBRT can be accurately delivered in standard SAD setups, it offers a logistically viable and dosimetrically beneficial alternative to photon-based treatments requiring bolus.
