yields single-channel SNR reduction proportional to √ N mux =2. However, we anticipate the benefit of adding coil channels with various sensitivity profiles to outweigh this SNR penalty.
Conclusion:
An add-on signal multiplexer was presented for the image acquisition chain in the MR-linac, making the system compatible with many-element radiolucent receive coil assemblies. Successful coil channel combination and separation was demonstrated. Pending final SNR improvements, we expect that this solution will enable a drastic imaging speedup and thereby help overcome the imaging challenges for real-time online-adaptive MRgRT in the central thorax.
