Figure 1: Panel A shows the experimental setup and panel B shows the ribs and the object tracked by the infrared camera.

Results:

The peak-to-peak uncertainty in the static measurement with the optical cameras was within 0.3 mm. The median peak-to-peak amplitude was calculated as 19.6 mm for both the 2.55 s and 4 s motion trace. The corresponding inter quartile ranges were 0.2 mm (2.55 s period) and 0.1 mm (4 s period).
