Conclusion:

This study showed that, when using the newly adopted CTV-to-PTV margins, inter-fraction variation generally has limited impact on the daily CTV dose coverage in 33 breast-cancer patients. If implemented in daily clinical practice, with each subsequent fraction, the use of dose accumulation could provide valuable information on the CTV coverage for the individual patient on treatment.
