Conclusion:

We have developed a versatile probabilistic framework based on PCA for integrating registration uncertainty into dose accumulation and presenting it as DVH uncertainty bands. The use of the proposed DIR confidence ellipsoids has the potential to provide a more comprehensive understanding of the delivered dose distribution, which is vital for ensuring the effectiveness of adaptive radiotherapy and re-irradiation.
