Purpose/Objective:
In our department, breast cancer is currently treated with the Ethos accelerator, but not optimized with its TPS. In fact, the workflow consists first of an optimization with the Eclipse TPS and the Photon Optimizer algorithm (v15.6). The treatment plan is then imported into the Ethos TPS and calculated with the Ethos Acuros algorithm to be clinically validated and delivered with this accelerator. The use of two TPSs significantly complicates and increases the workload. The aim of this study was to evaluate the quality of whole left breast treatment plans automatically generated by the Ethos Intelligent Optimization Engine (IOE) using a planning directive template.
