Conclusion:

Our study indicates a potential ambiguity in accumulated doses depending on the reference CT to which doses are accumulated. Whether the planning or last CT of a patient’s treatment series is selected has been shown to have a significant impact on the estimation of delivered doses, particularly for OARs. This potentially is of significance when evaluating patient outcomes in relation to the total administered dose.
