Conclusion:

Our results establish a benchmark for selecting appropriate lateral margins based on the dose characteristics specific to the treatment facility, ensuring comparable target coverage between facilities despite errors in patient positioning and intra-fractional motion. The analysis implies that facilities with sharper penumbras can treat with smaller lateral margins, highlighting an advantage of dedicated systems over non-dedicated ones.
