Conclusion:

Lymphopenia after WPRT for PCa was found to be non-negligible and prolonged, resulting in a 2-year rate of G2+ of 9.2%. DVHs of BM sub-volumes and of the whole pelvic BM were strongly associated with an increased risk. Multivariate analysis showed lumbosacral BM DVH (best DVH parameters: V24Gy) as the most relevant dosimetry predictors in combination with baseline ALC and smoking. Correlation of acute G3+ lymphopenia with its long-term persistence was also ascertained.
