Purpose/Objective:
Hypofractionated radiotherapy schemes for breast cancer gained relevance in the last years, becoming a common treatment option. Certain radiobiological parameters describe the tumor response to radiotherapy, and allow comparing different schemes. These parameters are not always accessible, as some studies do not provide them, neither the raw data. We propose a Monte Carlo-based method adapted from the work by Guirado et al. [1] to estimate radiobiological parameters using only the data provided by the studies in terms of tumor control probability (TCP), without accessing to the raw data.
