Figure 1 shows the robustness evaluation on 53 rotated scenarios for iCycle13, the Erasmus-iCycle starting plan and Mimic53, the 13 scenarios of iCycle13 are used for mimicking. Differences are shown against iCycle53, also evaluated on the 53 rotated scenarios. It shows that using only 13 scenarios for planning, gives a high deviation in CTV coverage for both CTV7000 and CTV5425, as well as for the partoid and submandibulary gland doses. Using dose mimicking gives a high correspondence.

Figure 2 shows the DVHs for a single patient as example.

Total mean±SD optimisation times for the Mimick53 plan was 1576±329 minutes, where the dose mimicking step only took 1.9±0.3 minutes on top of the iCycle13 plan. The full robust optimisation on 53 scenarios, iCycle53, took 8613±3192 minutes, giving a speed-up factor of 5.5 for the dose mimicking approach.
