On Figure 2 is presented the comparison between Geant4 and data-corrected dose profiles in water of 400 MeV/u 12C after 23cm RW3 target. It can be observed that changes in the yield of secondary particles result in modifications in the dose profiles, including higher dose prior the Bragg Peak, lower dose in the Bragg Peak itself, and a broader Bragg Peak width.

Conclusion:

In this contribution, the detailed outcomes obtained from this experiment will be presented, together with corresponding simulated outputs. Finally, the impact of the different secondary particles on the dose distribution in the water samples alongside with the water radiolysis will also be discussed.
